Default Changing gears in the SRT-8

Hello, My friend is not happy with the final gears in his SRT-8. He knows he will never be going 180+ and he wants to lower the gears so it will top out at about 140-150 and have better 0-60 times.

Does anyone know if they have gears for this car yet?

So far, can't do gears in the srt8. Too much computer-no programming after market or through chrysler. If you change the gears your car will run in limp mode.

That's my understanding as well, Limp mode will kick in. I'm frankly hoping that w/ the new Challenger coming onboard too, the aftermarket tech world will jump on "chips" that will allow looping around the computer for gear changes and other mods. Between the Challenger, 300C, and Magnum at a minimum, all sharing similar if not exact computer components, the incentive to plow someR&D into this issues becomes more realistic.

...Stay tuned
