Default flashing panel lights

heyguys! im new to the form and i dont want to start bugging you guys with a ton of questions but I would like to know if I could get help with one? I just purchased a 2003 chrysler300m.I love it! but latelythe odometer, radio, and temperature indications flash from dim to bright intermittantly. It does not happen all the time. but when it does it goes non stop. I hear this is a common problem. I just wanted to know what the issue is and how much ($$) may go into fixing it? any help would be awesome. thanks in advance!!!

most likely the headlamp switch/dimmer. not too much of a pain to change. there was a tsb about this issue. Get some die-electric grease, get to the switch by taking off the steering wheel shrouds and instrument cluster bezel. disconnect and reconnect the headlamp switch connector about three times (this cleans the corrosion off) put some of the grease on the terminals on the switch and re-connect. That should take care of it.
