Default Replace EGR Valve on 300 Limited 2006

What is the best method of removing the the two bolts from the EGR Valve from under the hood or under the car? Do you need to remove the metal EGR tube from the upper manifold cover. Please provide step by step instructions. I know where the EGR valve is located but can not figure out how to get to the two bolts. I have already purchased the parts and took my car to 5 gas station and they said they could not do it. So Im trying to do the work myself.

thanks for any help

3.5????

the 3.6 is not available until the 2010 model year...No matter...

You have 2 options.

From under the car with a 3 foot extension and a 10mm "Swivel socket", or Remove the Intake Plenum, and lift it out from the top.....

Yes the tube gets removed from the intake and pulled up with the valve...it is assembled outside the car and put back as an assembly.

What are you NOT telling Me , that 5 shops have refused this......???

I get my car service at the Chrysler dearlership all the time just ran into problem with GEICO mech breakdown insurance coverage. I thought my deductible for repairs was $250.00. Took my car to Chrysler service dept; they said I needed 6 repairs, we called my insurance company and I was told I had to pay a $250.00 deductible for each repair. I paid the $250.00 deductible for 5 repairs. Tapped out just trying to save money on last repair because service dept said best to change the spark plugs to when upper manifold is removed to replace the EGR. For the 5 repairs that was completed I paid $1000.00 and insurance company paid $300.00. Please help me on this last repair. The last repair will cost me $ 250 + $200 to change spark plugs.

Umm.....Pardon my French, But that is a LOAD of $hit....Unless the sparkplugs are part of one of the other repairs, tell them to leave them right where they are. 250 is part and labor for egr, which includes removal of plenum, ..So if the plenum is off, dont pay 200 for sparkplugs!!!!

What else was done????
