it's still having the same problem so back to the shop it goes.....everyone I talk to says they can't do anything without a CODE....is anyone having this same problem I sure would like to know how you got it taken care of...thanks

get some info on what they did because all that has been done so far was an ign service if that.
What were the tests they performed what did they look at and find need some info if u want an educated idea of what u are looking at here.

I finally did get the problem fixed. I took the car in and explained the issue and I requested a smog check (required for Cali). Anyway, the regular tech didn't get a code, but the smog check computer did. It showed a fuel injector mis-fire. Anyway, they took the top off the engine and inspected the fuel injectors. They found 2 injector were dripping fuel after the car was turned off. As the fuel collected in the cylinder, starting would become more difficult, but would burn off when the car finally started, that's what caused the gasoline smell and puff of blue smoke from the exhaust.

I had the replace all 6 fuel injectors and the sparks plugs. My car starts great now. It wasn't cheap, but it cost less that buying a new car.

this vital piece of info wuld have helped out alot if u had said something about it
puff of blue smoke from the exhaust when starting. I could have told u it was injectors with that info.

I will pass on theinformation to the dealership tomorrow and see if it helps....I never have seen blue smoke before but I can smell gas ...thanks a million I will keep you posted.

I did pass the information on to the dealership yesterday and I just got a call from them today, they found one bad fuel injector which they are going to replace, I hope this works....thanks for all the information

they final fix my problem replaced one fuel injector now my car works great no problems...thanks for all the information
