TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results - Chrysler 300
I've posted the latest results of TrueDelta's reliability survey to the site. These are for the year ending March 31, 2007. (CR currently provides results through March 31, 2006, making their data a year older.)
I do not have enough data on the 2007s to provide results for that year. For all model years more participants would help a great deal.
For the 2005 Chrysler 300 and Dodge Magnum, I have an average of 8.2 months of data on 33 cars. The stat of 0.8 successful repair trips per year is a bit worse than the average for a 2005 model.
For the 2006 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, and Dodge Magnum, I have an average of 6.5 months of data on 80 cars. The stat of 0.9 successful repair trips per year is about 50 percent worse than the average. Even if the trunk alignment problem experienced by a few Charger owners is excluded from the analysis, as it does not affect the other two models, the rate is still 0.8.
On the other hand, we're still only talking about less than a single repair trip per car, on average. And many owners have reported no repair trips.
With many cars, problem rates decline in the second model year. This doesn't appear to be the case with the 2006s. Maybe with the 2007s?
