I am currently dealing with a water pump failure, but I plan to remove the fuse block in the driver's footwell and look for corrosion, water damage, after market foolery, etc. It is one of the few places I have not inspected well and is also a known weak point.

Strangest thing on the water pump, I lost power steering and alternator action and the temp started shooting up. I knew I lost the belt (which was <500 miles old), but the failure is something I have never seen before. The pulley came loose from the water pump shaft. It is just trapped loose between the water pump and the fan clutch. Not sure if it was pressed and came off or welded like the new replacement I got and somehow the weld broke. My next great project is getting the fan clutch off without a good way to hold the water pump shaft.

I have a 2008 aspen and I had alot of similar electrical issues cuz my battery exploded so I assumed that it was from that, but after fixing 101 electrical issues and 6 months it turned out to be one of the fuse boxes in the engine (the smaller one with the silver box attached to it) lol
But for electrical issues in the rain or after a car wash is cuz of a flaw with the sunroof for some reason only sometimes the water gets down the drivers side all the way down to the fuse box but it seems to dry quickly and then its working again.
