What is everyones MPGon your Aspen? Mine is: 16.3 HWY, 10.9 CITY , I have the 5.7 HEMI. Let me know. Thanks

4.7L 1400mi so far. 12-13.5 city 18-20 hwy

I am finding the more miles and more break in the better mileage. I started out with an avg of 11city 13hwy - I was a bit dissapointed at first.

 

I am just shy of 6000 miles on my Aspen and I'm averaging about 13mpg city and 17hwy. My biggest beef is that the low fuel light comes on with about 6 gallons of fuel left. That wouldn't be an issue for me if it said how many miles to empty, rather than just "fuel low". at 13mpg, I could use the extra 80-100 miles.

 

Do you not have the feature on your Aspen that it DOES show you avg mpg, trip time & MILES LEFT IN TANK? Mine is up top by my compass. Read your manual to find it and how to use it.

 

Of course. But it will simply read "low fuel" when it determines that it's low, unlike previous chrysler models that would actually count down to 0 miles to empty. The Aspen will display a low fuel warning right around what it predict is roughly 30 miles left on the tank. I've found repeatedly that this seems to occur after ony burning 18-20 gallons of fuel.

 

I have the over head display and it says how many miles to empty when ever i turn to that feature. Not just low fuel. That does come on along with how many miles to empty.

 

It will show the number of miles until the system determines that you have roughly 25-30 miles left on the tank. Then it just shows "low fuel" and doesn't actually count down to 0.

 

We have about 3,600 miles on our Aspen. In town we are averaging right at 15 and on the highway below 80 mph we are averaging right at 19 mpg. 5.7 HEMI

We have about 7000 miles on ours. We get about 17mpg on the road and 12 mpg in town on average.

 

I have about 200 miles on mine (just picked it up). It is getting under 12 on the interstate according to the overhead console. Should I go off that or check it the old fashion way?
When the heck does it start getting better?
