I have a friend that has a 8-4 Hemi in his Ram, he gets 28mpg, and I would assume that the Ram is heavier than the Aspen. REALLY good fuel economy for this engine!

I'm kinda skeptical about the 28, but his truck is a highway truck, never seen any type of city driving, and he is a "steady as you go guy", not a speed demon. When my Aspen turned out decent milage on the highway, I was skeptical too, had to recalculate over and over to see what I did wrong, all the numbers worked tho. In the city, it seems to be in the 14.4 area. I would like to see that better, as the truck is mostly driven in the city. Still doesn't beat my Cummins tho! he he

I have a thought, is there any ethanol being added to the gas? On the stations around here, some say " up to 10% ethanol by volume". If none is added that might account for the better milage.

We just bought our Aspen and I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of mileage I can squeeze out of it. We are going out east in Oct. Its a 965 mile trip and pretty flat across Ohio and New York thruway. That SHOULD give me a good idea what to expect. Sure would like to get the mileage some others are getting. Haven't driven it enough to tell just yet. But man what a ride this thing is. OUTSTANDING!
