Mopar Hitch Install pics
I wanted a hitch for our Aspen. I didn't really like the aftermarket options, and most are only Class III. I wanted the Mopar one, but didn't want to spend the $. By chance, I searched Craigslist, and found an OEM one locally for $25! A body shop was selling it. It was slightly used, and the bracket for the wiring harness was slightly bent. The hitch itself was "true", and in good condition. I hit it with 2 coats of self-etching primer, 3 coats of satin black, and 3 coats of satin clear. Here's some pics of the install:
Some of the rear sensors removed. Hindsight, you don't have to remove them, nor each individual harness. The complete harness unplugs once you have the bumper mask removed:
Bumper mask & rear splash gaurds removed:
Rear cross-member removed:
Pieces:
Hitch on:
All back together:
I've since bought the Mopar hitch plug as well.
