Your description is a little unclear to put it gently, but:

1. Try shutting the vehicle down, open a door to cut power to the radio, and then restart the vehicle to "reboot".

2. If 1 doesn't work, pull the fuse for the radio, reinstall, and see if that does the trick.

I'm going to assume you weren't trying to update your software when this happened, because that's a different conversation.

My radio works but screen is blurry. Funny thing is when it rains it comes in for a few minutes before it gets blurry and with lines. Otherwise i am assuming in my case it might be a cooling fan or something in that manner. Interested if anyone else has had thesse issues to know if it might be something else.

This just started happening to me. It's raining so my wipers are on. Here is my picture. Is there a solution?

If the original poster has rear DVD, then there are no aftermarket headunits that will retain that functionality. I had a chat with someone at Crutchfield, and they confirmed this.

Harman Becker makes these units, and on one forum I frequent, someone contacted the company directly about the unit failing outside of warranty. They sent him a new one without being asked. It might be worth contacting them directly:

Harman Becker Automotive

Thank you for that tidbit. I'll pass it along. Buying a new new one from a dealer will break you.

Thanks. I just tried calling them and they told me they only deal with OEM and not the consumer. Ugh!
