It sounds like they were getting some whining from the dealers. Oh well.

Alternatively, these guys do repairs: OEM Auto Parts

I had the same issue, found a place in Florida to repair it, but to be honest wasn't happy with how they fixed it. It works, but now i have flaws in my display. Anyway, they told me if the navigation board inside the unit, not for GPS, but for navigating through the difference functions of the unit.

What kind of flaws do you mean? Do you mean they damaged your screen, or the actual display image has noise, etc?

Are you saying the flaw was in the navigation board in the unit, and they replaced it? Maybe it's just me, but I'm not sure what you're saying here...

They returned a different unit back to me (different serial number), and this new unit has a scratch almost an inch long in the display which is annoying, but better then no display at all. I questioned the scratch and the fact they sent me a completely different radio, and didn't get a very good response, which is why I am not happy with them. As far as the what they said the problem was with mine, all they said was navagation board inside the radio needed to be replaced, I can't really give you any more information here.

My radio screen is out. The uconnect comes on about 20 times a day and asks me to restore factory settings, but when I do, the uconnect voice comes back on to prompt me again. The screen does come on every once in a while, but goes back out once the ucinnect starts in. radio sound works fine and some of the modes. The dealership quoted me for a new radio, over $2000! come on!

My 6 disc CD changer/AM/FM/Nav unit shows fine horizontal lines. Therefore I can't use the nav system at all, but everything does work well. Just the screen acts up.

Any ideas besides a call to Crutchfield?

Yes.

1. Ebay; or

2. One of the places that repairs them (Google it).

And if you do go aftermarket, Crutchfield is probably the most expensive place you can possibly order from.

Thanks for the confirmation, 15951a\. Who else is a good provider of stereo components other than Crutchfield? Sure, ebay and Amazon always have possibilities. Any other more obscure but good purveyors of equipment?
