Default New Tires

Hi all, 2008 Aspen Limited (Hemi 4x4) with stock tires (265/50 R 20) on it and I was given a set of 4 Pirelli (275/55 R 20).

Can I have these tires mounted on my current rims and installed on the truck? Any major issues with safety that I need to consider?

Thanks for your time and help

The OEM wheels are 20" x 8".

Proposed 275/55/20:

Side Wall Height (inch): 5.95
Tire Width (inch): 10.83
Tire Diameter (inch): 31.91
Tire Circumference (inch): 100.25
Revolutions per mile: 632.04

Stock 265/50/20:

Side Wall Height (inch): 5.22
Tire Width (inch): 10.43
Tire Diameter (inch): 30.43
Tire Circumference (inch): 95.61
Revolutions per mile: 662.70

The new tires will cause your speedometer to read 4.9% too slow, so your speedo will show 60 mph when you're actually going about 63.

I think it would be better to have an 8.5" wide wheel with 275 wheels, but you should get a professional opinion on that.

That's what I have on my 2008 Aspen J package, no problem so far about 5000 miles on tires. I'm in PA and no clearance problems at all.
