Default Rebuilt engine will not start

I have a 2007 Chrysler Aspen with a 5.7L. I just purchased a rebuilt motor because the last one ran hot. I have placed the new motor and everything is hooked up but will not crank. It will turn over all day long and want to crank but will not. I am all out of ideas on what could be preventing this. Any help is appreciated.

It is the same year and it came from Spartan engines. The only codes that are popping up are the IAT Sensor 1 code when we plugged up the machine we borrowed from Advance Auto.

If you're smart enough to install a rebuilt engine, you already checked the obvious stuff we're going to mention -- new plugs, check fuel pressure, make sure injectors are good, etc.

Fan, thermostat, radiator, and water pump. If it's any of these things and you replaced the engine only because it ran hot...
