05 Chrysler Pacifica Remote Car Starter
Hi I just bought a Pacifica from a dealership and the remote car starter attempts to start car 3 times and it just doesn't turn over. This is the factory Mopar Remote car starter. If you know how to fix this please let me know. Thankyou.

Is the horn honking at all during the process? If so, how many times? I would upload the installation/troubleshooting file but it is too big. Meanwhile, just for grins see if it is in "service mode". To get it out:
2. Exiting Service mode.
A. Turn ignition on with the key.
B. Press the start button on the remote transmitter 3 times. 2 seconds later,
the horn will chirp and the lights will flash 1 time, indicating the system
has exited Service mode.

Well I hope you can get if figured out. I have a remote start on another vehicle and love it. I'll attach the "troubleshooting" page from the directions I downloaded. You'll see why I asked about the horn. By the way, the directions indicate that for normal start you should push the start button twice (2X). Remote shutdown is push and hold start button 2+ seconds.

It sounds like the link between the remote start and the anti theft, when the remote start engages it triggers the security which in turn triggers the starter lockout. if this is an after market remote starter more than likely you can add or have repaired the pack that shuts down the factory security, to use the remote start. if it is the mopar unit, they are not supposed to be used with vehicles with the EVS systems installed.
