Since new neither rear door windows have hardly been ever used. Drivers side window was lowered just to clean it then acted funny about going up properly. Later when I drove it it was down aprox 6 inches and neither switch would raise it. With a hand inside and outside I pushed it back fully up. On the way home it went fully down and out of sight ! 1A Auto has a good video on replacing the regulator. For now I just want to do something inside it so that it can not move down at all. I removed the panel to get the glass up and taped it to hold it and disabled the elect plug. Other than vice grips to squeeze the channel closed what have any of you done for a temp fix ? Which cable could be clamped some way to help hold the glass up ? My truck got totaled and this is our daily driver now. Thanks. *BW*

 

Thinking now to in between rains today to remove the panel and see if there is a way to drill a hole and put in a sheet metal screw to hold the glass in the UP position and unplug the motor and deal with it later. Too many other family things to deal with right now and do not need this problem. *BW*

 

We did exactly that and screwed it in the UP position until later. BW
