Default 2005 pacifica touring! help brand new battery but still problems

I have an 05 pacifica touring awd. Battery light came on 6 days ago so put a brand new one in. Car ran fine then yesterday the battery light came back on. While I was driving. Got home turned the car off and waited 5 mins it turned right over. It has no problem starting. But when I do drive it starts to jolt or hicup as I'm pushing the accelerator it feels like its slipping. But now after my last trip with the weird feeling when in drive the check engine light came on. So I'm lost. I don't know why my battery light is on and why my car is acting like this. Please help any suggestions or if anyone has had this problem. I don't feel safe driving it especially with my 3 sons. Who are all under 5.

battery light on is telling you that its not getting charged up below 12 volts when its suppose to be 13-14 volts.

We got the code reader last night and it said crankshaft sensor. So I'm hoping this works. Also why is my car not listed on the recall for fuel pump / powertrain
My car is doing the same thing that they recalled
Who can I contact to see why my car is not on the list? I called daimierchrysler and no help.

Sounds like an alternator.... Now a days, vehicles go on the fritz and everything goes hay wire because there is so much electronic stuff that require a certain voltage/amperage, that if it does not get it, it will go crazy and act weird. My wifes did the same thing and when I checked the alternator I wasn't getting enough voltage from it. Changed it and tada...works fine now.
