Default 2007 air conditioner

On a recent 400 mile trip in 80-90 degree heat the air conditioner in our '07 Pac gradually quit putting out cold air and in fact at full fan quit putting out much air at all. After stoppin for half hour it was again working and then over 50 miles repeated the malfunction. After stopping again I turned off the air when we resumed and left it off for a while. When I turned on the air after several miles it was again putting out cold air and the fan was blowing normally. Could the condensor be freezing up? If so would replacing the condensor solve the problem?

First thing is, you need to make sure it's not overcharged. Expansion valve could also be malfunctioning.

Thanks for your reply. I had it looked at in Spearfish SD and it was 1/2 pound low on refridgerant. Worked fine on the 400 mile trip home.
