Default 2017 Pacifica Code P000B Camshaft 2 Position Slow Response

I have searched the forum without much luck. Any advice where to start? Van runs a little rough when the light comes on, which is about once a week for a day or so. Then it goes away. I bought two new “crankshaft position sensors”, because the first guy that downloaded the error code at Autozone said that is what I needed. I had the code pulled at O’Reilly and looked at it this time and see it is actually “Camshaft”. TIA

First problem is you listened to someone at AutoZone or any other parts store. They sell parts they dont fix cars. Most will have basic knowledge just enough to get into trouble with but that's it. Second just because the word cam or crank is in a code does not automatically mean that the sensor is the issue.
Read this and it will give you direction to with would likely be the issue.

Well, most of this is over my non-mechanical head, but I did glean that an oil and filter change are in my near future. It's only about 4,000 miles and 3 months since I last changed it, but admittedly, I use cheap crap from Walmart (Super Tech and Fram), and I did find quite a bit of chatter last night about cheap oil/filters causing this code. Thank for sharing the information.

Oil viscosity is also important and NO oil additives should be used. The VVT system relies on oil pressure and flow to modify the valve timing. If the oil viscosity is higher than recommended, it will flow slower and not move the cam phaser as quickly as expected. Most chrysler VVT's use either 0W-20 or 5W-20 depending on the motor.
