Chrysler Pacifica 07 radio question
Hey guys, I'm new to the forums here and I see it's great a place to get info..
I have a question about a new factory radio I'm getting installed in my 07 Pacifica. It came with a basic cd radio but I wanted something so I could use my XM with an Aux. input. I am getting the dealership to install the CD player with the (yellow, white & red) AV hookups. I know it is meant for a DVD setup but was wondering if I could plug my XM in the AV hookups with my 3.5mm to RCA cable I have? I want to make sure it can carry audio only also. I hope it works since I've already commited to getting it. Thanks a lot for yourhelp guysand look forward to visiting this forum a lot.

RE: Chrysler Pacifica 07 radio question
Audio should work fine. We do this in our 04. It will take most anything audio and/or video. We use it for XM, ipod, and mini CD.
We use all sorts of adapters. THe only problem is (04-06 anyway), it won't play from these jacks until it sees a signal. What can happen is if there is a long pause between songs, it may switch back to the DVD/CD player, then back to the ipod (or whatever is connected). I.e. the auxiliary input is not on all the time. For the most part it works fine but can be annoying at times. One way to help avoid this is to keep the volume high on what ever source you connect if possible.
