Good luck on that one. I have a 2007 Pac and tried everything in the book to get them turned on. ALL Pacs are made in Canada, but the ones going to the US have to be turned on by some kind of special device. My dealer and no other dealers around me have this device and are apparently unwilling to spend the money to get one. I've fought this from headquarters on down. I'm sure if you went to a Canadian dealer they could turn it on.

U would need a dealer scanner that they only have at the factory they removed the software in the scanners that are sent to the dealer.

Now doesn't that just make a lot of sense? Why the hell would Chrysler do that?

because that type of scanner can basically do anything on the cars like say turn off the rev limiter or remove the block for top speed on car or make any car or truck the police package see where I am getting at hehe its like giving a bunch of kids a loaded gun.

There is no menu item using the db scanner for daytime running lights. You get the daytime running lights by going to the country code menu and changing to Canada. Daytime running light are required in Canada. Nothing else changes anywhere on the Pacifica. My dealer charged me $20 to change the country code for my Pacifica. Even after 5 years now, I still have a sour taste.

Thanks derwith...do you know, by any chance, if chrysler dealers regularly carry db scanners? According to a dealer in my area ( New Hampshire) they need to add some wires in order to get the lights on...

A suggestion...

You could try calling a dealer in Canada and see if they can to it there.
I don't know if their Canadian version coding computer is set upto do such a thing, but somebody there might know if it could be done or not.
