DVD system
We recently purchased a 2004 chrysler pacifica. It was sold to us from the dealership with the dvd system already in place. It came with the remote and 2 headphones, the remote works fine, but the headphones do not work. When you press the headphone button on the remote the icon on the radio blinks and then becomes constant, the rear speakers shut off, but no sound from the headphones. theheadphones have a red led light that comes on when you turn on the headphonessoi know that they are receiving power. If these are not the original headphones (is there a way to tell) and if not is there a way to program them? or are we just being stupid and doing something wrong? please let us know, the dealership is not a chrysler dealer and have no answers.

RE: DVD system
If you have the factory system, there are 2 systems IR and RF. On theIR system while sitting in the middle row of seats, there will be a red bar where the monitor mount meets the headliner. This red bar is about 1" tall by 3" wide. This is the IR signal for the headphones. The headphones for this system have an on/off button and a volume wheel (NO SCAN BUTTON)
The RF system does not have the IR emmitters at the monitor and they have a scan button in addition to the on/off button and volume ****.
I imagine another problem would be if the DVD changer was changed w/ the wrong part number at one time.
Make sure you are sitting on the middle or rear rows and that the batteries are fresh.
I am trying to figure out why my rear speakers don't shut off on my 04. My radio is the RBPmodel (AM/FM/CD/Tape). which radio do you have?
