Question DVD/wireless headphone help, please...

I have a 2007 Pacifica Limited with the IR DVD/wireless headphone setup (The strip is red.) When I push the headphone power button on the remote, the headphone icon lights up on the DVD player and I can hear white noise in the headphones, but the picture on the screen goes blank and it says, "no dvd/cd in player." The sound continues to come through the speakers so the movie continues, but not the headphones while there is no picture. When I turn off the headphones using the remote, the icon comes off the DVD player, the white noise in the headphones stops and the picture comes on the screen and the sound continues to come through the speakers of the vehicle. Does anyone have any ideas or solutions for me, please? I have fresh batteries in everything and I have been sitting in the back seat while trying this.

I had the same trouble with mine when we got it. You have to if I remember correctly use the mode button on the remote to get it to the right one to make it work. It has to be both the correct mode and have the headphones icon.
