Default Fuel gauge/VIN

I know that there is a million other posts about the fuel gauge problem, where it says its empty and then returns to normal and keeps doing so. I was just wondering if someone could check to see if mine was recalled and what all is under the VIN. I've read all the other posts but still don't understand what I need to do to get it fixed. Thanks so much.

In checking I found you have a 2004 PAC. There are 16 recorded findings, meaning title transfers, or some recorded accidents that has been recorded. There are no open recalls. This is according to CARFAX.
If you are having a fuel gauge problem it's best to call your dealer and have them see for sure if it has a recall. Good luck.

wow, I'm sure he didnt know he had a 2004 Pacfica.

16 recored findings, could mean anything, getting yearly tabs adds onto that, and that site isnt the most accurate place in the World, I've seen numerous times where a vehicle was wrecked but CARFAX didnt say **** about it.

Secondly I'm a Chrysler tech, and ran your VIN on their website, you dont have any recalls for any fuel issus, the only recall ever for your vehicle was something with the drivers door handle thats it

In answer to your other question, there is a TSB about this, which involves updating the body control module, need to visit the dealer, tell them you want that done

Robs: I checkes one other place ant it showed 11 recorde. As you say it can even be a TSB done at sometime, or a refinance, and even renewal of the plates. Heck our 1996 Dodge Neon has 24 records! Can be misleading, these places just want you to buy their service.
How long have you been a Chrysler tec? Have you seen a lot of transmission problems on the 07 PAC 6 speeds? We had our TC replaced in Dec. 07 and a better reflash done n March 08, and no more problems after that. We really like the AWD and the very good mpg. We thing this was the best kept secrect Chrysler has had yet. We never saw a TV add or anything for the PAC. The 4. L engine has better power than some V-8 engines we had.
