New Pacifica...dealer put on 225's
Hey guys, new to the forums. I picked up my new (to me) '07 Pacifica last night. As a part of the sale, we negotiated new tires.
I picked it up last night and when I looked at them this morning, they were 225/55 19s. Is this going to be a problem?
I can't find anywhere that shows them as replacement tires. The dealer seems to insist it is o.k., but I think it was more they wanted to replace the tires with stock on hand.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,
do I think it will present a big problem? No. Do I think you should take the car back and demand they change them? Absolutely. I would simply point to the manufacturer's placard in the driver's door panel and ask how they can argue with it. It does not say 225, it says 235. And if you are getting the run around you can always play the liability card - i.e. if you have a problem that can be related to tire failure or performance that you can prove they put on the wrong tires. I hope you don't have to fight much. They are trying to save a buck - tire rack does show the 225's to be cheaper, but they are really rare. More so than the 235's. That's not your problem. They said new tires, you deserve the right ones or hand them the keys.
Anyway, good luck. Go back. Be firm. They are wrong.
