OIL FILTERS
I am wondering what oil filter you folks out there buy? I just bought the first filter for my 2007 Pacifica from the dealer, a MOPAR brand which I guess is Chryslers brand. I asked the parts guy who made the filter for MOPAR and he had no idea.
Whats a good/best brand of filter?

RE: OIL FILTERS
Everyone has their own opinions. That being said, I have used the Mopar brand and Fram. I have never had a problem with either. Another good thing is that the filter for my '04 Pacificais the same formy '03 Dakota. My change intervals are 5k miles.

A very good oil and air filters are WIX. Mopar is the Chrysler brand of parts. Mopar oil is Mobile oil, that much the parts person can say for sure. The filters I have been told are WIX, but I am not very sure that's true.
With the new LIFETIME POWER TRAIN WARRANTY you do not want to go beyond the schudle B for the up keep on the Pacifica. The facts are NO ONE qualifies for scahudle A, it's a real catch 22, and if Chrysler gets nit picky then they will look closley at any way to get out of repairing your vehicle for soooooooo long.

RE: OIL FILTERS
Here is a great study on the quality of various oil filters. Certainly changed my buying habits from what I used to buy (Fram).
