Default P0334 (cam sensor) and alternator pulley noise

My 2004 Pacifica with 105k miles has a noisy alternator pulley (especially when cold) and it hesitates once in a while, sometimes with a code P0334.

Since the cam sensor is right under the laternator, I figure I should just change them both and hope for a fix. Is there anything else I should check first?

I know I need to buy a sensor from a Chrysler dealer rather than aftermarket. What do you folks recommend for alternators via Amazon or eBay?

I bought a new alternator and a Chrysler cam sensor both from ebay. I am thrilled with the results.

No more pulley noise at all. That's as I expected.

What I did not expect was a noticeable improvement in smoothness of shifting. Apparently even when it was not throwing an error code the old cam sensor was causing trouble. I didn't know it had anything to do with helping the computer shift but there must be some role there.

Replacing the alternator and cam sensor took about 1.5 hours. I used the youtube video which explains how to release belt tension.
