Default Pacifica CD Changer Question

Hi. Very new here.

We purchased a used 2006 Pacifica Touring All Wheel Drive. The salesperson stated that it had a multi-disc changer that is loaded from the front as opposed to a box in there rear for instance(cant remember if he said 5 or 6 disc). The owners manual briefly mentions the changer, but, does not instruct how to load multiple disc.

The unit seems to have a button stated disc as well as buttons wiyh arrows up and down.

Is there a set of instructions somewhere? Is the actual place to load CDs in another location? Did he lie?

Also, if replacing this unit with an aftermarket stereo, Crutchfiled.com states that I need an CHTO-02 radio interface adaptor. is this necessary?

Thanks for any help!

Hi
One slot, 6 disc changer. Push a numbered button. It should flash as the "lift" changes positions. When the light goes on steady you may insert the disc. You can insert 6 discs one-at-a-time. The instructions are in the owners manual.

As to changing out the unit: read all the caveats on Crutchfield. You may lose capabilities you desire i.e. satellite radio.
