the liftgate was working until a couple days ago. now when I pressed the open on both the key and inside the car, the liftgate beeped and unlocked, but didn't open. If I opened it manually, I can't closed it with the key. The lights will just flash but nothing happens.

after it unlock itself, I need to push it real hard to have it closed all the way. Any idea? Thanks.

 

maybe the chysler tech will be able to help you never heard of that problem

 

My 04 does the same thing in the winter. As soon as the warm weather returns it works again.

 

I would think it would be something going on with the motor not seeing that its completed a cycle. if it doesn't see that it hasn't completed a cycle doesn't know if its open or closed. Its either going to be a bad motor or latch. at least thats my guess.
