Default Power Seats randomly stop working

I have an 05 Pac with Power seats every now and them the power seats will stop working. Then some time will pass (sometimes days) and all of a sudden they will start working again. It hasn't happened in a while and all of a sudden today they stoppped working. The last thing I did was reset the service interval mileage. I wouldnt think this would have anything to do with it. Any thoughts would be appriciated. Thanks.

Sounds like you have an open ground somewhere, such as a stripped wire coming in contact with something metal. Probably only happens when the wire shifts just a certain way, which is why the problem is intermittent. Since I don't own a Pac yet, I'm not sure where the wires run that operate the power seats. But I'd suggest tracing the wire from the seat and checking for any loose connections or stripped portions. Good luck!

I thought there was a TSB to add ground straps to the seats. Not sure if it specifically addressed this probem or not.

I had/have issues with my passenger seat. At times it won't go all the way back. I brought it to the dealer and they said those famous words "There's nothing wrong" and of course I checked it out and it worked fine for little while but then it happened again. I have heard of some TSB for this and when I mentioned it to the dealer they still said that nothing was wrong.
