Default question for ChryslerTech

I just had my 06 Pacifica in the shop for a noise from my transmission. It sounds like a vacume hose sucking in air whenI do a lightacceleration or when i hold it steady at 42mph. They informed me that the differential gears on the right side were making noise but they suggest I do not change them as the new ones are noisier. I have 34k and had the Trans serviced at 30k and started hearing the noise around the same time.
My question to you. Is this true? Are they just trying to wait until my warrenty runs out and then tell me i need a new transmission? Should I have them replace the gears? Should I try another dealer?
Thanks,
Michael

3.5 motors are known for that style of noise from the engine its basically the way the intake is shaped.

Well, I had it back in the shop for the last two days because it was howling when it changed gears, at any steady throtle, and worse while on cruise control at 72mph. They said it was the power steering pump. Had it replaced. I started out and it was just like new until it warmed up....the noise is right back. The noise sounds like something is loose and just whiring around whne there is no tension applied.
When I mentioned the throtle body they just looked at me. I have driven other Pacificas that are around the same mileage and I have three friends who own pacificas also, none of these have any noise even remotely like this.

rest assured, the Chrysler Pacifica is a Demon from another world. Believe me......I have owned 2 (the 2st one some jerk mechanic "accidentally" blew the motor in it by driving it 30 miles without coolant in it)...

Anyway, you'll need a priest, a wooden stake and a silver bullet. Good luck. We'll await your reply.........(survival)
