Angry Torque converter shuddering, again...

After last month's TC replacement by the local dealer, I thought this shudder issue was a thing of the past. One of several possibilities is the culprit. They didn't replace the original TC, they flashed the computer again to trick it for a while, or I got a bad replacement. What the hell is going on with this industry?! I don't know where to go from here, except to trade this SOB in on something else. Any thoughts?

Bring it back again and have them change it again. Obviously, something was done wrong and they should be held accountable. After they fix it again then I would start looking for a trade in. You're probably going to lose your shirt with this car anyway, just imagine if there was a problem with the car when tried to trade it in. There are many good deals out there, you should make out ok.

I stopped by another dealer today(one that's not being closed) and told them of the ongoing problem. I handed the service manager a printout of the TSB's from the NHTSA website. Although I was polite, the guy could tell I'd had enough of the shudder issue. I'm supposed to get a call tomorrow as to what they decide to do about it. As always, this is the first issue with the Pacifica trans that they know about...lol...gimme a break

Also, I'd like to show this "new" dealer where it says that they have to fix it because of the TSB. I has been stated on here that because the 07's had defective torque converters, Chrysler "admitted" there was a problem, and so issued the TSB. I can't seem to find where it says that they have to fix it at their expense though. Chrysler customer service is useless and I feel like it's the dealers discretion whether or not they honor the TSB for TC replacement. For anyone tuning in to this fiasco, my Pac is an 07, 3.8 w/4spd, 74k, and I'm the second owner(just in case the lifetime warranty question comes up). There was a lot of talk about this mainly being a 6spd/4.0 model problem, but the dealers tell me that mine is affected also. That's funny because this is the point where they want me to pay for their problem. So what's the story with this? Do all the 07 Pacs have converter issues(not to mention any other models with the same trans)?

Well as of today I'm out another 66 bucks for them to officially diagnose the TC issue, again. Only this time, they are saying that because they paid for it the first time, they won't do it again. Actually, they said it should've been my cost the first time because it's out of warranty. I wonder how much of this is due to the company's financial status.

That is total bull sh*t. After the third time on mine, i went through the dealer buyback and got a new aspen. I really think SOME of the pacs are a total piece of garbage and chrysler should realize that. You would think they would want to keep all the customers happy, given their present state of affairs.

What are the details on the buy back program? I'm ready to shove this thing in the river...

While I wait on the dealer to fix this thing, again, is there something I can "unplug" to allow the TC to just "slip"? This damn thing can't decide whether it wants to lock up or slip. I know the fuel mileage will suffer, but at least I'll have driveability...
