Default Code P0401

I thought I had cured this code, but I didn't. I replaced the EGR valve awhile ago. Didn't stop it. Two different shops have tried. I can't seem to find a good diagram that shows what hoses etc go where. There is a small hose that has a plug in it, but not obvious what it is for. REALLY appreciate help on this. THX
