your getting main 12v power to turn the fans on. the other 2 wires are the control wires from the fuse box to turn the relays on one high speed relay one low speed relay.

The tipm is a computer in itself no fuses no relays only solid state drivers for alot of things. like lights and so on.

I see what you're saying now. I wasnt used to this type of setup, I'm going to order another Tipm. Can I get a used one from a junk yard, or will it not function with my car? Its a base model pt, nothing special about it

used one should be fine. There are people out there that rebuild them as well

Thanks for the info, its been very helpful. I've worked on cars for years, and i havent encountered the tipm setup, until now

Any other ideas for what to check, if changing the tipm didn't work? I thought it might be a faulty module, since I bought a used one, but I got it switched with another one under warranty.... Still the same problem 2 modules later, the only thing that doesn't work is the fan

My code reader is saying it is "fan 2 control circuit", if that helps at all

What is the actual code? There are various trouble-shooting guide.s depending on the code.

I think this code pertains to my a/c not working, but still doesn't explain why my fan doesn't work at all. I would like to be able to fix it all, but I would settle for the car not overheating in traffic
