Angry 02 Town and Country Touring RADIO Ed. 165K

This morning, Nice and cold out started the Van, let it warm up (which its actually difficult to get it to warm up fast anymore) I drove it to work , radio working fine on maybe volume 10 nice and quiet and 30 min from driving it to work, i turn a corner and the speakers started making a loud static/crackle noise. i turn it off, then back on to see if it will reset itrself somehow, but it would make that loud noise, then it would stop, i drove to my destination to turn off the van, wait a while turn it back on and it was making that loud static/crackle noise, so i muted it. then turned the volume dial to 1. and it was loud like it was set to volume 30. back to mute and no noise. what could this cause it to start doing this out of no where? Yes stock radio. never been tampered with and it does it for the cd player, DVD and tape. help?
