05 T&C power sliding side doors
I've been having two issues with our '05 T&C (out of warranty).
First, On one door the power lock wasn't working and I found that it was the power lockactuator. Can anyone tell me the cheapest place to buy a new one?
Secondly, when I open or close the other door with either of the power buttons, it stops at the same point about 10 inches from the closed position. I can slide it open or closed manually from there with no problem. If I push it a little ways away from that point then push one of the power buttons again, it will finish its path open or closed. I know it's not the motor because I switched the motors from one door to the other and the motor that was in this door works fine in the other door, andwhen the motor that worked fine in the other door is in this door, it does the same thing. It looks to me like something is causing the safety sensor to stop the door, but I can't see anything in any of the tracks that might be cause this. Any thoughts?

RE: 05 T&C power sliding side doors
Your door problem could be a broken wire in the wire harness "track" (looks almost like a chain) that runs under the door opening.
Look for a bulge or kink in any of the wires. Best to solder in a short piece of wire then shrink-tube it.
There are several pictorials on the 'web if you need more guidance. Obviously this is not a rare problem.
