Angry 1999 town and country BCM

the check engine service light came on and I went to Autozone for them to scan it. The code displayed said I needed a tcm. So, I had a new tcm installed and the now not only is the service light still on but the ABS and alarm set lights are displayed on the dash as well and the van has stalled out twice and the back door won't unlock. I took the van in to the shop and the mechanic could not get it to start back up. After 2 days, he got it to start up and says that the BCM needs replacing. The cost for the part alone is outrageous, almost 600.00! Does anyone know of any reputable places I can order a used BCM?

Once the TCM was installed did it ever work right or did it stall and give you the lights right out of the shop?

Thumbs down Bcm

Thanks for your prompt responses. Yes, the car worked after the new tcm was installed (by the way, the tcm was matched with the VIN and current mileage) but the service light was still on although it was running well. After a couple of days, the service, ABS and alarm set light came on and the 2 separate stalling incident were about a week apart. It was after the 2nd incident that I took it back to the shop and was told about the BCM. Currently, on start up only the service light comes on and after about 5 minutes driving the ABS and alarm set light reappear. I only drive it for short errands just in case it stalls out.

I talked to an actual chrysler service rep yesterday and he told me they would have to take the BCM out of the vehicle, send it off for repair and it would be around $1000 for the repair and install. That just aint gonna happen! I will take it back to the repair shop and pay the 600 vice 1000. It would be great if there was another inexpensive option.

Happy New Year!

Have you googled "body control module rebuilders" or " remanufacturers"

We can give you a better wag if you can tell us what code or codes are turning on the service engine soon light.

Just curious. What was the code AutoZone said pointed to the TCM?
