Default 2000 T&C Speedometer, Gauges not working

Hi all,

Just a couple of days ago on 5/01/09 I had turned on my 2000 Town & Country and noticed that something was odd. My gauges seemed funny, my mileage was not showing complete it should be at 127,720 but only the last three digits were visible "720" with that said the mileage appears to be stuck at those 3 digits it does not record any new miles. I next noticed that my PRN lights werent on, only "D 3 L" were displayed but as you place the vehicle into any gear it does not recognize or show what gear it is in. As I drove off I next noticed that my speedometer wasnt working it doesnt show me how fast I'm driving also the RPM gauge is dead. All my power door locks work fine, the vehicle itself ****s into gear smoothly what problem do I have? Also to note, the lights on the mileage "720" and the gears "D 3 L" never power off even after removing the key from the ignition. Along with the above stated, when in drive, the gauges show that my seatbelts arent on and that the car is in cruise control. I have checked all fuses and they work properly. I dont know if I have an electrical short or problem? A buddy of mine hinted that he had seen a similar problem and said I needed to take it to a Transmission shop?

Very confused - Ray

Any help / suggestions appreciated.
