Default 2003 T&C at Dealer - best mechanic stumped

Hi folks,

Brand new here- thanks for any advise on the following.

Have a situation with our 2003 T&C 3.8L, approx 90K miles.

Wife at store yesterday 4/20, came out to van and lights were on and radio playing. Started van ok, turn off and when back in store.

Came out 1 hr later Van won't start (battery 1.5 year old). AAA confirmed battery good. Towed van to our mechanic. He changed out an ignition module?? (inside steering colum- not the part you put key in) . Van now starts but when you turn it off it stays running 10-15 minutes (with key removed).

Towed van to Chrysler. They have best man on job- changed a relay etc but van will not stop running after you turn it off and remove key. I told mechanic- could it be the actual igition part where you put key in to turn on/off van? He thought my mechanic did this already but I told him my mechanic replaced some electrical part further down the column. He's calling my mechanic now for more info. He's planning on taking van home tonight but stated his best man was on it and has never seen anything like this.

Has anyone on this forum had a similar experience you could share?

Sorry for the long post.

Best regards,
Sully
