Default 2012 Town & Country slow speed jerk

Our family minivan has recently developed a new problem in which the entire vehicle jerks slightly. It happens when the vehicle is in drive or reverse, only while you are letting off the brakes. Most common instances is with a cold start, but it has also happened to me while on road trips. Took the car to the dealership however they were not able to duplicate the problem.

The jerking isn't super intense, but it is very noticeable. More than the usual sensation when removing your foot from the brake pedal.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? My guess is something with the transmission, but I am not sure. Any help is appreciated.

You don't say if the vehicle is petrol or diesel. Commonly, esp. when cold and with petrols, there is a slight misfire causing jerking.

Raptor 07,

Great suggestion, plausible based on the symptoms.

@Mo_BTF - I'd suggest having the wheel bearings checked. May be a long shot considering the year of the vehicle. I can't image your 2012 is high mileage.

I take it this is an Automatic...In days of old having the idle too high caused a jerk.
