Blower fan problem

Blower fan problem
My 2001 Town & Country LXI has the electronic dual temp control and it developed a problem today.
Today, after starting and stopping the engine a few times, when I started it, the heater/AC fan came on HIGH and would not adjust with the speed control. If I shut it off, the fan runs at top speed!
When I put the temp control on AUTO, the fan slows down, but still runs much higher than normal. The speed control dial for the fan as no effect.
The lights have been out on the control module for a couple of years. Is this the next phase and that module is now dead? Is there a way that I can try resetting it to see if I can clear this error?

You need a blower motor resistor pack.

Agreed.....BUT......
terminology will royally screw you over on this one so be careful what you ask for......
ATC, or Manual , Both systems are built Both ways, but the resistors are NOT interchangeable....
Flip down the glovebox door and look inside...You will see 2 5/16 bolts holding a wiring connector. Remove it.....If it is CERAMIC, or it has 3 or 4 Metal windings in a steel Cage....It is a BLOWER RESISTOR
If it has an "ALUMINUM HEAT SINK " it is a Blower Fan MODULE
Better yet, take it out, and bring it with you to match at the parts store...
