a/c problem with 01 town and country
I have a 2001 Town and Country that is having a/c problems. I live in Texas and in the mornings, the a/c will blow cold, but once it gets hotter outside the a/c will either not blow at all or blows warm/hot air. I think it could be the compressor, but am not sure. any ideas?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I have checked the freon level, it is fine.
Yesterday I drove it three times, once in the morning, once at lunch and once in the late afternoon. Morning and lunch the vehicle blew cold air. the late afternoon trip, it would occassionaly blow cold air briefly and barely (on highest level).
I drove it to work this morning and it started out blowing cool and somewhat powerful, but by the time that I got to work, it was barely blowing cold air again. Any ideas and/or tips are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I took it to a traders village (they add freon, window tints, etc). They tested it, then said it was fine, but the compressor went out. he hit a spot under the dash on the passengers side and it did start to work at that time. I am just trying to check and see if what he told me is on the up and up.
Thanks

huh????? humm either u got some wrong info or they have not got a single clue about what they are doing U take the pick here.
nothing is under the pass side dash that will make the compressor come on or not
go some place else have them do an evac and recharge of the system if U have a dual system front and rear air there should be 2.88 lbs of freon see how much u have in there they can tell u when they suck it out.
