The IOD [ignition of draw] controls :

Remote key fob
Radio
Heater blower
Folding mirrors
Central locks
Interior lights with IGN on
The power seats

Taking the terminal off the battery resets the three computers, in this case the [BCM] body control module. So long as it worked for you my friend.

yeah worked for me, thought whilst I was looking at the fuse I would check all the others and make sure none were blown or dirty, either way something worked for it all to work again strange one hey

The IPM [(Intelligent Power Module) the fuse box] in its own right is the case of many problems. If you look in or in particular under the IPM its often a dirty verdigris laden mess. Its also not as many people assume one layer of PCB, but three layers with one set of metal pins going through all the layers :

Its essentially the point of exchange for all signals coming from and going to anywhere in your GV via the wiring harness, and placed where it can precisely suffer from water and dirt ingress on its hidden bottom out of sight of most people. Undo the two clips and look underneath and you will see several human wrist thickness bundles of harness quietly corroding underneath.

Sounds like the BCM needed a little "caressing". They get a little dodgy now and then. (yup that's a pun).

well its one thing working, now onto the next, been looking back at old threads in ref to the power liftgate not working, seems to be that it could possibly be the latch, just looking for part numbers and a part number for the overhead dome light bulbs. not major issues I know but I like to try and get them sorted if I can
