We have updated Car Reliability Survey results to include owner experiences through June 30, 2010. Other sources of car reliability information won't cover the more recent months until the summer or even fall of next year.

For the Town & Country and Grand Caravan, Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2009: 58, about average

2008: 94, worse than average

2007: 56, about average

2006: 77, about average

2005: 104, about average

2004: 101, about average, very small sample size

2003: 134, worse than average

2002: 82, about average

2001: 125, about average

2000: 109, about average

1999: 127, about average, a single response short of the minimum for a full result

1998: 97, better than average, but very small sample size and probably not accurate

1997: 150, worse than average, very small sample size

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.

The percentage with no repairs is about 36 for the 2005, 51 for the 2006, and 47 for the 2008, and the percentage of lemons is about 5 for the 2005 and 2008 and about 8 for the 2006. These stats require more data, so we don't yet have them for other model years.

Thank you, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in November and February. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years from 1995 on.

Updated reliability stats next month.

As always, the more owners participate, the better the information we can provide to everyone.
