CHRYSLER VOYAGER LX CRD 2.5L Diesel 2003. Cuts out at around 3000rpm
Hi, I'm new to this forum and owning a Chrysler Voyager.
I got this car last week, and last night when accelerating from a round about I noticed a total loss of power when it reached approx 3000rpm just before changing gear, then it carried on as if there were no problem.
After a couple of mins, I tried again to see if the problem persisted, and it did! I Held my foot down a few extra seconds this time see if it made any difference, to which it cut out completely at about 50 to 60mph and wouldn't start at all until we come to a complete stop, waited 30 seconds tried again and thankfully it did started.
Any ideas what this could be please?

Hi this fault is right through this forum and from start to finish I'm sure you will get an answer. However thankfully you have added your car details.
Fault is caused by pressure sensor on fuel rail shutting engine down due to lack of pressure. A few have solved the problem by renewing this sensor, I definitely would do it myself.
Then comes Crank and camshaft sensors.
But it maybe air in fuel due to fuel filter damaged by heater element, this is well diagnosed on here. Rubber diaphragm in filter with priming pump is another possibility as it cracks with age and lets air in also.
These are a few for you to ponder over and other pro's/guys on here will add more solutions that's a certainty.
Happy reading and problem solved.

Did it give a disturbing wee bang as it cut out?
My 2.5 had a wee hissy fit yesterday, it's had an injector seal away for a while.
If theres a smell of exhaust fumes inside the cabin when the blowers on, remove the engine cover and see if one or more injectors are all black with gunk.
If so, possibly caused by an injector seal.
Changed my offending one yesterday and it's been ok since.

Engine cutting out.
Did I just add to this, as it must be a disease, mine has just got it too but instead of cutting out I lifted of accelerator slightly on seeing light and engine light goes out. Happened twice on 120miles today so car not a failure.
And guess what I was passing the first time it happened, a Mobile Speed Camera van none the less travelling at 45mph.
Anyway codes P0235 so I'll need to find a suitable parts outlet.
Anyone got a quick return on this number.
I'll head it later as too run up to repair result.

Thanks tfb.
Turbo Boost Sensor malfunction or fault and I was thinking of a low fuel pressure fault as in cutting out under acceleration.
Ah, well, code gives a clue here and I had better check the hoses.
When driving today I'm sure I heard a high pitched blow every time I lifted off accelerator but I thought it just my Tinnitus ears.
Hope its just that easy.
Supposed to be Snow tomorrow so it may have to wait.
