Default Clock and Rear End Hum - 2 ques.

I just bought a 2004 Town and Country Limited with 3.8L engine. I have two questions:
1. The LCD for the radio/cd player does not show the time when the radio/cd player is off and the engine running. The time shows up in the upper right hand corner when the radio/cd player is operating. Is there a way to turn on the time so it will show whenever the engine is running? On my 2005 TC van, the time always shows up whenever the engine is running.
2. There is an obnoxious oscillating rear end hum in the 2004, especially when the speed is between 50 and 55. The wheel bearings have been checked and that is not the problem. I had the tires rotated and that didn't fix it. We removed the roof rack crossbars and that didn't take care of it. The rear end hum is very slightly noticeable in my old 1999 TC van and in my 2005 TC van. Does you have any idea how to fix this problem in my 2004?
Your help would be appreciated. Please keep in mind that I am not techno-car savvy, so this is resolution 101 level. Thank you. Leukon777

1. ?
2. Maybe the fuel pump? It's in the fuel tank. Maybe all the variables to make it hum line up at 50 mph.

Default fuel pump

Does a fuel pump oscillate? Is that a Chrysler TC standard noise, but mine has it more noticeable than some?

Yes a fuel pump hum can oscillate but normally it's constant and not just at speed and especially not just at 50 mph. I wouldn't look at the pump until all ideas have been exhausted. It is a long shot. Hopefully you'll get a few more.

BTW - Fuel systems on Dodge Caravans and Chrysler T&Cs are identical as are most of the systems. Only differences are option packages, trim and the model name attached on the tailgate.
