Default Coincidence? CEL codes P0138 then P0404

Hi everyone. Curious to know if these codes are related? Could one have triggered the other? Here's the chronology and the details.

2006 Chrysler Town and Country
85k miles
Touring edition (3.8l engine)
(really has been a great van for us!)

1. CEL came on, gave me code P0138. This is the error code for the upstream O2 sensor (prior to CAT)

2. Drove about a week, 200 miles

3. Replaced both O2 sensors - upstream and downstream

4. While replacing the O2 sensors, cleaned the throttle body with proper throttle body cleaner spray (love when that gas peddle is nice and smooth!) Did not over due it.

6. Next day I get the error code P0404 which is the EGR valve number

Getting ready to replace that, but my question is - could the throttle body cleaning have screwed that up? (I dont think so). Did the bad O2 sensor have any issue with that the EGR valve going bad?

Or is this just coincidence? Again, thank you in advance.

Greg

I used CRC Throttle Bodly and air intake cleaner.

I did not take off the throttle bottle to clean, I sprayed sparing w the car off, then used a paper towel to remove the dirt and excess spray.

Thanks again for your help. Looks like I need to replace the EGR valve, the codes are not related, and I need to be more careful when cleaning the throttle body.
