Oh here's a check for you. It's in relation to the Boost/temp sensor on top of the engine. This can cause P1130 if its on way out or fouled due to the crap that comes out of the EGR. Have a looksee and gives an account to its condition. Mine needs checked too. Just maybe tomorrow.

I did not know boost pressure sensor could fire up a p1130 code. I actually had this fault appear on the diagnostics but cleared it and never returned. I will check in to that tomorrow. Hopefully new length of fuel pipe and a posi flo pump will sort it out. It's so frustrating, our previous 2.5crd engine was bullet proof apart from the rear crank seal. It bothers me why Chrysler included the wiring but didn't bother their *** to add the pump??? Absolute bonkers. I spoke to parts at the dealers to check price for the fuel sender incase that was my cutting out problem! Only £275+VAT I will have 2 please
madness!!!

Default Boost pressure/temp sensor.

Here's picts of Boost/Iemp sensor from my 2.5CRD...My car cuts power when booting it. P0235 is stored but P1130 is on her for cars cutting out.

I checked mine and it seemed ok, just covered in a light film of oil mist from the intake manifold which I'm not too concerned about. I haven't conducted any resistance or voltage checks as of yet. I will check again on the diagnostics if a code is back for the boost side. It most definitely has air getting in as the primer still goes soft a couple of minutes after pumping it. Or potentially the IP has an internal link. However it could be a few things. Reference the cutting out.

Yeh cleaned mine too, oily as yours but I'm not using any sump oil. Tested it afterwards and power still cutting down on booting it. Engine not cutting out mind you. Replacement on Flee-bay but looth to pay £65 incase its not that. Might go secondhand if cheap enough.

When I replace the pipes I am going to include a non return valve after the added lift pump just in case the leak back is from the IP. However I am more convinced of it being a small air leak. I will keep an eye on the boost sensor. I found an article earlier on the jeep forum saying that excess oil at the bottom of the intercooler was causing the 2.8crd to cut out on hard acceleration as under these conditions it was being sucked into the intake. I think I will take my intercooler off and give it a precautionary clean. I smashed the cat out last night and the turbo is spoiling up a lot quicker and notice the revs pick up slightly quicker. Also a noticeable turbo whistle at lower revs but without any louder exhaust noise. Very fiddly job due to the exhaust welding itself shut but got there in the end. The ecu is getting treated to a remap next month to permanently rid it of the EGR. Then an uprated transmission cooler all ready for towing in the summer.

to permanently rid it of the EGR
Applause, I hate the [Euro emission regs] 'eat your own $hite valve' with a vengeance !
