Default Grand Voyager Alarm Issue

Hi all Just signed up today. I have a 2001 Chrysler Grand voyager which seems to have developed a fault with the alarm siren unit, Everything seems to work as it should i.e all lights flash if alarm is set off also indicators flash when alarm is armed, But no sound is emmited from the alarm siren unit when alarm is activated! Does anyone know where the actual siren unit is on the car?? If so is it likely to be just a connection problem to the siren unit or damp or something?? Or is it likely to be a much more complex electrical thing best to be left well alone?? Any help or advice on this would be very much appreciated!

Hi
Most likely the siren unit itself, It's under the Left front headlamp. Remove the headlamp and you will see it's held on by 3 rivets. The battery can fail and normally drain the main battery and people just unplug it, Has someone done this?

Hi Merlin, Thanks for your reply and info, Do you mean the near side or off side headlamp?? Is the siren unit something that could easily be replaced with an identical one from a breakers yard?? Many thanks.

N/S in the UK never fitted a scrap one but guess you could try it. Plug is behind the plastic wheel arch cover and you have to pull the bumper forward a bit to get out.
