Default Grand Voyager Heater direction?

Hi all
Just got myself a Grand Voyager 2001 3.3 auto, wow what a vehicle

A small glitch is that the heater direction switch does not work, when I move it around I can hear a faint whirring noise but the direction of the air does not change, any ideas?

Cheers

sounds as if the motor has become disconnected from the flap. I think you can access all the flaps by removing the trim panel by your left ankle (assuming right hand drive)

You can take the actuators off and try moving the flaps by hand - see if that eases them up a bit or prove it's the actuator if the flaps move freely. After that you will need to calibrate the AC system, procedure is here

Removed actuators, they seem to be working fine, the series of cogs etc that are meant to turn are very stiff and can not be moved by hand, gave a little spray with wd40 to no avail.

I'm assuming then that something needs replacing? Had a look on a well known auction site but could not see what I need. What is the name of the parts that I would need to replace?

Cheers

Update:
I took all the cogs etc off, actuators off, got to the guts of it, managed to get some grease in and get things to start turning, after much time and pain got things moving. Put it all back together and after a bit of time keep turning the switch to different directions got it all moving, all be it a bit slowly.

Re the recalibration process, I can't seem to do it. I can't make sense of the attached doc in an earlier post. From reading elsewhere I think it's a case on mine of pressing the AC and Recirculation buttons at the same time, I believe they should flash when the process starts, but they dont.

Any Ideas please?
