Unhappy Hazard lights flashing on own

Hi everyone newbie to site alert!!!

I have an R-Reg Voyager, had an incident about a month ago when alarm went off constantly for 3 hours. I disconnected battery pulled wires off horns etc but to no avail. It only stopped when I removed a box from under n/s headlight, however even when disconnected and removed from car still had a attack siren going off! I had to pull the wires from battery inside unit to stop it.

When I put car back together my hazard lights flash on there own accord? also I am struggling to put code back into radio keep being told to wait 2 hours.

Any advice much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Though many contributors to this forum are in Europe or the UK the majority are ignorant yanks (yours truly)who don't have a clue of what "R Reg" means. Best to post both the model year and the Reg info. The model year is needed for looking up wiring diagram info etc. Cheers.

- August 1976 to August 1977, and 20 years later;
- August 1997 to August 1998

We can assume in this case its a 97-98, this model / year were sadly well known for immobiliser problems and dash circuit boards going. I'm guessing its a 3.3 - 3301cc - LE petrol.

Even in those days, with the exception of todays Stow 'n' Go & overhead video's they came as fully loaded as today's top of the range. Many many were converted to liquid GAS with the then huge almost free conversion grant offer by the UK Government.

You can either go from pin 1 to pin 8 on the mutlifunction switch in the steering column or pin 9 at the combination flasher module panel socket to any ground. If you see continuity the flasher contact in the multifunction switch is stuck closed. Other than that you may have a shorted combo flasher.

Turn sigs and parking lights are working right?
